Happy November, friends! How is it November already though??
If you were a Designing Dawn reader, than you may already know that I LOVE Halloween. Specifically, I love making my girls, Vera and Juniper, costumes for Halloween. It’s seriously my favorite. My oldest will be six in February, so it’s unclear how many more years she’ll actually let me pick her costumes out for her. You can bet I’m taking full advantage while I still have the chance.
Here’s a rundown of past Halloween costumes:
Every year I keep a running list of possible costume ideas, and this year I settled on a classic. May I introduce Lucy and Ethel:
The costume making process was actually pretty simple this year. Their dresses and shoes all came from Old Navy, and I added polka-dots to Vera’s dress with a paint pen to give it that classic Lucy look.
I cut and sewed two ties from Goodwill to make their belts, and June’s hat is a vintage veil that I wore at my wedding.
Add in some pearls for both ladies and makeup for Vera (June was not about to sit still while I put makeup on her!), and their costumes were complete!
Hope you all had a lovely Halloween!
