Hey lovely readers! It’s Ashley, here bringing you our newest set of wallpaper designs! Each month, Dawn and I pick a theme at random in order to bring you two original designs for both your phone and computer. All you have to do is check back each month, click on the design you want to download and dress your tech! It’s that easy.
This month is extra special because we brought you not just one, but TWO designs! As avid Halloween lovers, we just couldn’t let the season pass without a spooky design for the season. If you missed it, find our Halloween themed designs here. Today though, we’re getting back to our color series. We started with red back in August, and moved on to orange last month, making October’s color yellow — one of my personal favorites.
This month’s free desktop theme: Yellow
While I wouldn’t say that I have a favorite color per se, yellow is a color that I have always gravitated towards. In high school, when my parents built a new house I got the chance to choose what color my walls would be. Immediately I chose yellow. My parent’s thought it was a bold choice and weren’t so sure, but for me, yellow has always made me feel happy. I associate the color with good times and warm feelings. That’s not the case for everyone though, yellow tends to be a pretty divisive color.
On one hand, yellow is fresh, happy and positive — beaming and bright like the sun. It’s energetic and optimistic, golden even, the color of winners. Then you start looking around, and suddenly it’s being used to symbolize caution, asking you to pause. Fairly quickly you’ll find that it can conjure up some pretty negative associations. Anxiety, cowardice, nervousness, and deceit to name a few.
You’ll see these conflicting emotions on full display in our designs this month. That’s probably my favorite part of this series. I love seeing how both Dawn and I can have completely different associations with the same color. I won’t bore you with the details, rather, check them out for yourself and let us know how each design makes you feel.

Isn’t it fascinating how colors have the ability to play with our emotions. How do today’s designs make you feel? Does the yellow uplift your spirits like it does for me? Or is yellow a color that stirs up anxiety in you? We’d love to know what you’re feeling, leave a comment and let us know.
That’s all for today, see you next month with our green-themed designs.
PS. Check back next month for a new design. While you wait, you can browse our library of wallpaper designs and other freebies here.
