Hey there! We're Ashley & Dawn, two aesthetes, designers, and feminists with a shared dream to make things we love and sell enough of them to make some more. To that end, we co-founded AD Aesthetic in 2016, and have been having a ball ever since.
We first met back in 2004 when we were both attending the same university and majoring in Visual Communication and Design. Basically we saw each other nearly every day while we learned the foundations of design and fostered a mutual love of aesthetics.
Since we've both worked as professional designers for the past decade, we always joked that if we ever started our own advertising agency, we'd just call it AD Agency. Get it? A for Ashley, D for Dawn, AD for advertising.. yeah, you get it. Anyway, when we eventually did decide to start our own gig, we knew it wasn't going to be a traditional agency— more like a creative outlet for all the pretty things we love and new things we want to try. And so, AD Aesthetic was born.
We flex our creative muscles by turning our own hand lettering and original designs into apparel, flair, and paper goods. We also work with select clients to offer traditional graphic design and marketing.
Basically, we're just having fun, making products we love, taking on projects we're passionate about, and figuring things out as we go.
