Here in Omaha, we are lucky enough to truly experience all four seasons. It’s October, so that means golden colored trees and weather that’s changing between bright and sunny one day, cool and crisp the next, to straight up cold and rainy on occasion. The best part about this season of change though, is that it's finally time for fall fashions! When it comes to style, it’s time for light layers and cozy fabrics – my favorite. Dawn and I have been rocking the fall fashions for a few weeks now and finally got around to snapping a few outfit photos for you all the other day. Here’s one of our many fave fall outfits.

Dawn’s look is a little more dressed up, I think she had a
client meeting that day, while my look is more casual, as I did not. While we both chose different looks, you’ll notice some common themes like layers, cozy fabrics and plaid. AKA, all the basics for fall weather.

I opted for a trusty plaid button down (a stereotypical lesbian favorite that I just can’t resist) and one of my favorite pairs of Madewell jeans. When the weather gets a little cool I usually pair my plaid with this jean jacket that I picked up from the Gap a few years back – it’s been a wardrobe staple ever since. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout-out to my mom who picked up this amazing necklace with an original artist's sketch at an artisan market – love it.

Dawn carries her
Go Read a Book tote bag to the office daily, which delights me to no end. There’s just something about seeing those Jay Z lyrics in a (semi) professional setting that gets me every time. She contrasted this with a vintage plaid dress that’s both fun and dressy enough for a client meeting, and topped it off with a neutral scarf and some amazing Vince Camuto booties.

So those are our fall fashions of the moment. We are both hoping this weather sticks around long enough for us to show you some more of our fall favorites!
