Hey there! Welcome back to our new feature where we round-up a few of our favorite things, so you can check out what we're into at the moment. As lovers of pretty things, Dawn and I are always on the lookout for great products. This includes things like: items for our homes, clothing we like, well designed products or packaging, books with amazing covers or illustrations, even great music. So, basically this feature is like window shopping with us, and who doesn't love window shopping? Go ahead, check out what we're into this January:

Shop Dawn's January Favorites:

• Face Mask     • Blanket     • Book     • Game     • Dust Pan

Game My BFF brought this game over on New Year's Eve and hilarity ensued. If you're a fan (as I am) of Cards Against Humanity, you'll probably love this one too. Basically you read a description on a card and then vote on which person in the group the description is most applicable too. With card questions ranging from 'Who would survive the longest in a zombie apocalypse?' to 'Who is first in line for hell?' to some that are a bit more risqué to put it nicely... it is a fun way to really get to know your friends, and what they think of you! Face Mask My sister is all about Herbivore products lately, and has me curious to try this face mask. The reviews are fantastic, and we could all use a bit more pampering, right? Book As a designer, I'm a big fan of color, and have been known to take random photos just to document color pallets that I may want to use for future projects. So when I saw this book, my little color-loving heart went pitter-patter. I would LOVE to have a nicely printed collection of color combos to comb through for design inspiration, both in my graphic projects, and in my home decor! Dustpan There's something about this little cutie that just makes me smile. My old dustpan is nothing special, and I don't have a cute little hand broom to go with it, so it's always a bit awkward to use. I think the fun color and adorable wooden handle of this one are calling my name. Weighted Blanket This is an item I've had my eye on for quite some time. If you haven't heard of weighted blankets yet, well... they're pretty self-explanatory. It's basically a blanket that contains weighted beads distributed throughout to make it extra heavy, and they come in different weights and sizes, depending on your body weight. The 'why' is what entices me however. These blankets are supposed to be great for people who suffer from anxiety (raises hand) as well as children diagnosed with ADHD and autism. While it's definitely not a cure for any of these conditions, and you should always consult your doctor, weighted blankets are thought to work by encourage Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation (DTPS), increasing the production of serotonin and producing a calming effect. I have actually not been able to get this blanket off my mind for months, and I can't wait to get one to try for myself. It sounds heavenly to me.

• Shaker     • Card Holder     • Duffle Bag     • Lotion     • Cat Cave

Boston Shaker This year I'm making it my mission to up my home cocktail game. The first step, swapping out my cheap shaker with a high quality Boston shaker. I found out the hard way on New Year's Eve that my shaker leaks and drips everywhere causing one hell of a mess. This bad boy has been tested to ensure a water-tight seal, so I can vigorously shake my drinks without worry. Hedgehog Business Card Holder The new year is a great time to start organizing. I've got a desk drawer full of business cards that this little hedgie could help tame in the most adorable way possible. Vacation Duffle Bag Maybe it's the blowing wind and cold wet snow outside my window that has me dreaming of vacation, or perhaps it's listening to my girlfriend's stories from her recent trip to New Zealand. Either way, I'm fantasizing about traveling (preferably someplace warm). I just love the design on this duffle bag from Ban.do — it's screaming out the thoughts in my head, "vacation, vacation, vacation" — practical and fun! Lush Sleepy Lotion Do you have trouble falling asleep? I sure do. I've started incorporating this lovely lotion into my bedtime routine. I slather some on my arms before settling down with my book, and before I know it the sweet lavender scent has me practically drifting to sleep mid-chapter. If you suffer from insomnia, this lotion is worth a try. Cat Cave Why is it so hard to find products for cats that are well designed and don't break the bank? This cat cave is super adorable and looks like a work of art. At a reasonable cost, I have a feeling my cat will be curling up in one soon.
So, those are the items we are coveting this January. Is there anything you're loving this season? Didn't get in enough window shopping?
